Obituary for Leslie Walter Morehouse

"Leslie W. Morehouse died Monday, in an Olympia rest home following a long illness. His home has been with his son, Alvey Morehouse, Rte Eight (Box 391). Mr. Morehouse was born in Mankato, Minnesota, April 16, 1884 and first came to Olympia in 1941. He moved to Meacham, Oregon and had lived there until four years ago when he returned to Olympia. His wife Allie B Morehouse died in 1928. He was a carpenter and was retired. Surviving in addition to his son in Olympia, are five other sons; Raymond, Kelso, WA, John, Robert, and Clayton, Newton, North Dakota, and Boyd, Canistota, South Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Bolen, Albany, Oregon, and Mrs. Gladys Paul, Minneapolis, Minnesota; three brothers, Perry in North Dakota, Harry in Alaska, and Aaron Morehouse in Minnesota; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
